November 14 - Fall Program Meeting - Ethics!
Join us Tuesday November 14 at 6:30 pm as Jason Lesandrini, a health care ethicist and CEO of the firm The Ethics Architect, addresses the ethical roles and responsibilities of surrogate decision makers, and ways in which surrogate decision making at end of life may contribute to ethical conflict. This very pragmatic presentation will describe examples of ethically problematic surrogate decision making and address concrete strategies to prevent, navigate and resolve ethical dilemmas that may arise during this time.
Jason Lesandrini is an engaging sought-after speaker in Georgia and nationally whose work involves clinical ethics consultation and ethics infrastructure development and support. His research interests include decision making for incapacitated patients, health care resource allocation and ethics at the end of life.
Dinner and continuing education credits are available for nurses and social workers. $12 covers the entire event! ($8 for dinner and program without CEU). RSVP/register by going to the events tab here on Nursing Network or send us an email: gahpna@gmail.com. Pay at the door with cash, check, or credit card. We look forward to seeing you November 14 for what promises to be a stimulating presentation and thoughtful discussion with real-life problem solving approaches for dealing with decision making dilemmas at end of life.
